SUSTAINABILITY

  • At Silque, we're passionate about educating our customers about the materials we use and where they come from. We believe that transparency is essential, and we want our customers to make informed decisions about the products they buy.

We recognise that the fashion industry, like many others, faces challenges in minimising waste. In order to do our part, we've taken a different approach to packaging. Rather than using traditional boxes that may only be used once and ultimately end up in landfills, we've opted for a luxurious recycled cotton bag for our garments with each purchase. Not only does this reduce waste, but it also gives our customers a stylish and multi-functional option that can be used again and again.

  • We are always looking for ways to minimise our environmental impact, which is why we choose sustainable materials for our packaging. Our tissue paper is made from recycled paper, and our poly mailer bags are made from plants that are 100% biodegradable and compostable. We also use FSC-certified packaging, which supports sustainable forest management and protects the biodiversity of our planet. By selecting materials that have minimal environmental impact and longevity, we're working towards a better future for our planet.

As part of our commitment to sustainability, we also offer 100% carbon-neutral deliveries. We offset the carbon emissions from transportation and packaging by investing in renewable energy. This not only helps to mitigate the impact of global warming and climate change but also supports the transition to a greener future.

  • Silk is one of our favourite sustainable materials, and we use it in many of our designs. Silk production requires less energy, water, and chemicals compared to other textiles, making it a more eco- friendly choice. Silkworms require minimal resources to produce the fibres, and the silk fabric can be produced without the use of harmful chemicals or synthetic dyes. With proper care, silk is a strong and durable material that can last for a long time, reducing the need for frequent replacements and minimising waste.

At Silque, we're passionate about educating our customers about the materials we use and where they come from. We believe that transparency is essential, and we want our customers to make informed decisions about the products they buy. We're always happy to answer any questions and share our sustainability journey with you.
